Personal informationen about me

My name is Frank Merfort and I live in a small town named Espelkamp in the northern part of Germany. My profession is to work as independent software engineer.

This website is primarily dedicated to the photography. I practice this wonderful hobby for a long time. It all started at the age of 15 years with a analog SLR (Pentax ME Super). At this time I've done mainly landscape photography with diapositive films.

I got my first digital camera in 2001. This opened entirely new options and caused that I invest much more time in photographing. During travels the camera was my constant companion :) The technique advanced very fast within few years so that it didn't last very long before I hold my first digital SLR in my hands (Canon EOS 350D). With it I was finally back again at the point where I had originally started concerning the tools.

In 2008 I began to intensify the portrait and fashion photography. Besides the landscape and travel photography this is the area which I like the most today. More information about that can be found at the people photography.
